The Child Labor Coalition, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Child Labor, Forced Labor, and Human Trafficking (OCFT), invites you to this opportunity to speak with experts from nearly 20 organizations funded by OCFT who are working on the front lines to combat child labor and forced labor around the world. Displays from projects in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East will illustrate good practices and the impact these projects are having on the lives of vulnerable children and families.

Day of Action: Tell the brands #WeNeed177 in Cambodia

Together 14 Cambodian unions have launched a joint campaign calling for a new garment industry minimum wage of $177/month. Currently garment workers in Cambodia earn a mere $128/month producing for brands like H&M, Gap, Zara and Walmart. Recently the Cambodian government announced that the wage would increase only by $12/month in 2016. However, according to the research of Cambodian and international unions, the median consumption expenditure for a single worker is $207/month.
