The Chamber has stiff competition this year from Bank of America, Hyatt Hotels, Publix Supermarkets, and Sallie Mae and Citibank.  The policies promoted by the Chamber have led to high unemployment and people working harder and for longer hours as a recent JWJ and Institute for Policy Studies report shows.

While the Chamber pushes its radical agenda against worker rights and environmental protections, Chamber members are increasingly distancing themselves from the organization.  In the coming year, it is clear that labor advocates will step up their fight against the Chamber's agenda.  As Sarita Gupta, Executive Director of JWJ and a member of ILRF's Board of Directors, said, "we will not cede this moment nor shy away from this fight.  The ghost
of future years will show that in this time of crisis, it was our
efforts that helped put people back to work."
