With vivid and often beautiful footage of hard places to grow up in, The Same Heart was shot in eleven countries, including the United States. It documents how global inequality fuels child labor, generational cycles of poverty and egregious violations of fundamental human rights. The film gathers a growing number of global economists, joining their voices with moral leaders, to propose an extremely small tax on Wall Street financial transactions -- popularly known as the 'Robin Hood Tax," and urges the funds raised be used to place the needs of children at the heart of the global financial system.
